Mechanical Engineer – Rotating & Static Equipment

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead rotating and static equipment engineering activities across its energy and infrastructure projects. The role involves managing technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and supporting project cost and schedule objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead rotating equipment engineering tasks in line with project requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Provide technical support during feasibility studies, bidding, and commercial proposal development.
• Review and prepare technical tender documentation, material take‑offs, and cost evaluations for machinery.
• Support the Machinery Lead in defining engineering requirements, interfacing with other disciplines, and optimizing standards.
• Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and negotiate with vendors.
• Monitor QA/QC and HSE compliance throughout project execution.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background with experience in rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with QA/QC and HSE requirements in large‑scale projects.
• Ability to develop technical documentation and perform cost estimations.
• Experience in vendor evaluation and technical negotiations.
