Inclusion Support Assistant

About the role

The Inclusion Support Assistant works closely with the lead teacher to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for preschool children. This role involves assisting with daily lessons, supervising children, and providing individualized support as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by helping implement lesson plans, learning activities, and educational games.
• Monitor children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety and promote positive behavior.
• Reinforce classroom rules and guide children in developing appropriate social and emotional skills.
• Prepare and organize learning materials, resources, and displays to support hands‑on learning.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment and assist with sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group assistance to children who need extra help or emotional support.
• Observe children’s development and behavior, reporting concerns or progress to the lead teacher.
• Assist with daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals, and rest time.
• Model respectful, inclusive, and cooperative behavior to foster a positive classroom culture.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure consistency in teaching practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree Lic. Educación Preescolar or equivalent (required).
• TKT Training Course.
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
