Instructor - Operations Offshore

About the role

The Instructor – Operations Offshore will design, deliver and assess technical training programmes for Operations Group staff, ensuring they have the competencies required to operate and maintain offshore facilities safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver in‑house technical and simulator training, as well as competency programmes.
• Analyse training needs and create customised classroom and troubleshooting scenarios.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching for Operations, Maintenance personnel, trainees and graduates.
• Conduct assessments of technical knowledge, practical skills and field expertise.
• Coordinate onboarding programmes with line supervision to guarantee staff readiness.
• Maintain and enhance process‑simulator material and develop custom troubleshooting cases.
• Implement measurable learning metrics aligned with new project start‑up requirements.
• Embed Process Safety and IIF culture into all training content.
• Prepare training reports, discuss outcomes with supervisors and design individual interventions to close skill gaps.

Required profile

• HND in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of full‑time oil and gas operations experience, including at least 2 years in a training capacity.
• Extensive background in operations or maintenance of oil & gas facilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• High computer literacy with extensive use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
