Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Technician

About the role

The Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting field instrumentation and control systems. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, calibration, and testing of various process instruments and automation equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on field instruments.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system failures.
• Repair or replace defective instruments and control components.
• Maintain calibration records and maintenance reports.
• Install, calibrate and test pressure transmitters, flow meters, level transmitters, temperature instruments, conductivity, pH, chlorine and turbidity analyzers.
• Perform loop checking and signal verification.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, DCS and control panels.
• Assist in commissioning and startup activities.
• Support control valve testing, tuning and maintenance.
• Diagnose communication and network‑related control issues.
