IT Specialist – Cluster Support

About the role

The IT Specialist – Cluster Support will ensure the reliable operation of Marriott’s computer networks, workstations, and server systems at The Pearl Island, Doha. You will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software, while providing end‑user training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, evaluate and repair computer networks, workstations and server systems.
• Manage user accounts, computer/telephone rooms and maintain accurate inventory of all technology assets.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot LAN/WAN, internet and software issues, and respond to program error messages.
• Plan and coordinate equipment installations, moves, additions, changes and system enhancements.
• Implement network security measures and manage disk space across the network.
• Train users on proper system use and security, and serve as the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Maintain backup media in a fire‑proof safe and follow all company policies and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related IT experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lb and work on stairs or ramps.
