Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer on a two‑year contract to lead safety and risk initiatives across our onshore assets in Doha and Ras Laffan. The role involves coordinating process safety, loss‑prevention and risk‑management strategies in line with emerging regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and implement process safety, loss‑prevention and risk‑management programs for assigned assets.
• Review engineering documentation, project deliverables and interface documents for compliance with relevant standards.
• Facilitate hazard identification (HAZID) and risk‑assessment studies, preparing detailed reports.
• Lead major safety studies such as Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), HAZOP, and SIL baseline/re‑validation.
• Coordinate with external consultants to produce high‑quality safety documentation.
• Manage Safety Case and Barrier Management activities, ensuring effective safety barriers are identified and maintained.
• Perform technical reviews of Management of Change (MOC) requests to preserve plant integrity.
• Monitor key process‑safety performance indicators, analyse trends and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in process safety, loss‑prevention and risk management within industrial or oil‑and‑gas environments.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions aligned with company values.
• Strong understanding of international process‑safety standards and regulations.
• Willingness to cover multiple locations and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
