Lead Urban Planning & Design – Qatarization

About the role

Qatari Diar is seeking a passionate and creative professional to lead and coordinate urban and master planning activities for local projects in Qatar. The role focuses on shaping Lusail’s districts in line with the master‑plan vision and ensuring compliance with city regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide planning guidance on master‑plan, design guidelines, and project development.
• Create and update design guidelines and building regulations for Lusail’s districts.
• Develop parcel plans for individual plots aligned with the master‑plan vision.
• Prepare studies, reports, and recommendations on urban policy impacts.
• Support cadastral survey work to establish or re‑establish property boundaries.
• Lead communications for land adjustments, plot access modifications, utility changes, and GFA revisions.
• Assist the Building Permit team to ensure designs match Lusail’s master‑plan.
• Manage day‑to‑day requests from mega‑developers, sub‑developers, and consultants.
• Create and update signage and commercial activity guidelines in coordination with authorities.
• Conduct periodic surveys to investigate violations of signage and commercial activities.
• Liaise with government authorities to streamline departmental services.

Required profile

• Qatari national.
• Minimum 6 years experience in real‑estate master planning across asset classes with large developers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or Urban Design.
• Strong understanding of government processes, policy development, and land‑use planning.
• Knowledge of city ordinances, zoning, permits and related regulations.
