Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1/B2 – VVIP Operations

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1/B2) to join Gulf Helicopters Company’s VVIP rotary‑wing fleet. The role is autonomous and involves prolonged deployments to remote sites where you will be the sole engineering authority, responsible for maintaining safety, reliability and airworthiness of the aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled line/base maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and component changes in accordance with AMM, CMM, IPC and other approved data.
• Diagnose defects and rectify airframe, engine, avionics and electrical systems, and conduct pre‑/post‑flight and daily checks.
• Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) under B1/B2 licence authority and company approvals.
• Operate independently during remote VVIP detachments, making all engineering and airworthiness decisions on‑site.
• Ensure compliance with QCAA Part‑145, Part CAMO, ICAO and company MOE requirements, including FOD prevention, tool control and calibration integrity.
• Maintain accurate technical records, support audits and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production Planning for spares, rotables, GSE and AOG support during deployments.

Required profile

• Valid B1 or B2 aircraft maintenance licence with appropriate helicopter type ratings.
• Extensive experience in line and base maintenance of VVIP or similar rotary‑wing aircraft.
• Ability to work autonomously in remote locations with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Part‑145/MOE processes and regulatory compliance.
