Maintenance Lead

About the role

The Maintenance Lead will head a team of maintenance engineers responsible for the operation, reliability and optimisation of rotating, static, electrical and instrumentation assets. The role combines technical expertise with leadership to ensure safe, efficient and cost‑effective plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage operation spare parts, capital spares and special tools inventories.
• Develop and maintain asset registers, reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) and risk‑based inspection (RBI) programmes.
• Prepare and oversee maintenance plans within a CMMS environment.
• Apply predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermal imaging and condition‑based monitoring.
• Plan and execute shutdowns, repairs, retrofits and downtime minimisation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with corrosion standards (NACE, API, ISO) and environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate supply‑chain, expediting, logistics and quality control activities.
• Lead, coach and supervise the maintenance team, optimising workload and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, chemical or related).
• Proven experience in maintenance of rotating, static, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Ability to read P&ID, isometrics and layout drawings and identify issues.
• Strong knowledge of on‑shore/off‑shore facilities, including FPSO environments.
• Solid understanding of risk awareness, PPE, permit‑to‑work and environmental protection procedures.
