Materials Integrity Supervisor

About the role

The Materials Integrity Supervisor will lead the governance of material and service master data, ensuring technical data integrity across the organization. This role combines data stewardship, vendor evaluation, and supply‑chain oversight within the oil & gas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the central Materials Master Database in SAP, controlling item identification, codification and data quality.
• Supervise technical evaluations, material inspections, discrepancy reports and digital image captures.
• Ensure alignment of material data with the unified cataloguing system and internal customer requirements.
• Conduct quality‑assurance checks on stock and non‑stock coding to protect Oryx GTL assets.
• Participate in vendor evaluation, monitoring historical quality data and supporting procurement specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or high national diploma in a relevant discipline.
• 5‑7 years of experience in material identification, codification and standardisation.
• Experience in inspection and materials management within the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) knowledge – certificates are a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Materials management and reporting systems.
• Inventory and supply‑chain management.
• Ability to interpret material specifications and test certificates.
