Mechanical Draftsman

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsman with solid experience in MEP shop drawing production to join our team in Qatar. The role involves preparing accurate construction drawings, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and supporting site engineers throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for plumbing, drainage, HVAC, and firefighting systems.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other discipline drawings.
• Produce as‑built drawings and revise documents based on consultant or client feedback.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and Qatar standards.
• Assist site engineers and project teams with technical drafting requirements.
• Help resolve design and coordination issues during construction.
• Maintain drawing records and documentation according to project requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant drafting experience in Qatar.
• Background in construction or contracting companies.
• Locally available in Qatar with a short notice period.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM (advantage).
