Mechanical Project Engineer (M/F)

About the role

SPIE Global Services Energy is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join its Qatar team. You will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring and controlling mechanical projects across the energy production infrastructure, ensuring they meet quality, schedule, cost and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and control project activities as a coordinator or discipline member.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, multiple trades and maintenance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare regular reports on cost, schedule, KPIs, CAPEX and forecast updates.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, design basis and engineering procedures.
• Support procurement, contract coordination and bid evaluation processes.
• Maintain cost control and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing or coordinating mechanical projects in the oil, gas or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards, specifications and good engineering practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project requisitioners, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables and project documentation.
