Media Relations Specialist

About the role

The Media Relations Specialist will support the development and delivery of impactful internal and external communication initiatives, with a focus on content creation, media engagement, stakeholder management, and brand positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate corporate communications content such as press releases, newsletters, speeches, presentations, and briefing materials.
• Support media relations activities, public relations campaigns, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
• Assist in executing communication strategies that enhance organisational reputation and brand visibility.
• Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and external partners to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Monitor media coverage, communication trends, and stakeholder sentiment, providing insights and recommendations.
• Support corporate events, media briefings, and communication programmes locally and internationally.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or related disciplines.
• Strong writing, editing, and content development abilities.
• Experience managing multiple communication projects and stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of media relations, reputation management, and digital communication channels.
• Familiarity with Qatar's business and media environment is an advantage.
