Munitions Crew Foreman

About the role

The Munitions Crew Foreman is the senior crew member responsible for overseeing receipt, storage, inspection, transport and maintenance of U.S. Air Force munitions and supporting resources at the assigned site. This role ensures all operations comply with USAF, host‑nation and safety standards while supervising assigned Munitions Technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily munitions operations, enforce explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards.
• Manage receipt, storage, inventory, repair and replacement of munitions and containers.
• Prepare and configure munitions shipments for air, sea and surface transport, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Conduct inspections in accordance with technical orders 11A‑1‑10 and 11A‑1‑60.
• Operate and maintain Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and MC2.
• Perform minor maintenance on light vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, manual hoists and other handling equipment.
• Provide safety briefings, train crew members and evaluate their technical competence.
• Act as entry controller and stand‑by support during emergencies and contingency operations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in munitions handling, storage and transport.
• Proven ability to supervise and train technical crew members.
• Strong knowledge of USAF explosives safety, AFOSH and security regulations.
• Capability to respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate with Munitions Control.

Required skills

• Operation of Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and MC2.
• Forklift, pallet jack and manual hoist operation and maintenance.
• Inspection of munitions per technical orders 11A‑1‑10 and 11A‑1‑60.
• Use of metal‑strapping equipment, stencil machines, heat sealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors and power tools.
• Vehicle and equipment minor maintenance.
