Night Manager

About the role

The Night Manager leads all hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring security, service standards and guest satisfaction in line with Kempinski policies. This role oversees front‑office activities, manages revenue controls and handles any issues that arise while the hotel is closed to the public.

Key responsibilities

• Direct front‑office operations including check‑in, check‑out and guest assistance, adhering to all policies and standards.
• Train, develop and supervise night‑shift staff to maintain efficient front‑office performance.
• Control room inventory, group blocking, packages and up‑selling to maximise RevPAR and enforce the late‑charge policy.
• Resolve guest complaints during the night, document actions and ensure satisfaction.
• Welcome VIP guests, escort them to their rooms and provide personalised assistance throughout their stay.
• Manage over‑booking situations diplomatically to minimise guest inconvenience.
• Patrol the property at least twice per shift, ensuring safety, cleanliness and order, and take corrective actions when needed.
• Stay updated on emergency procedures, promotions, VIP arrivals and upcoming events, briefing the team accordingly.
• Record all incidents, complaints and follow‑up items in the hotel logbook for the day shift.

Required profile

• Proven experience in front‑office or night‑shift hotel management.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to handle guest issues calmly.
• Good knowledge of revenue‑management concepts and room inventory control.
• Awareness of safety and emergency protocols within a hotel environment.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
