Offshore Methods Engineer – Subsea Installation

About the role

Saipem is seeking an Offshore Methods Engineer to join the COMP2 / Ruya12 project within the Subsea Engineering Department. The role supports the Project Manager in delivering complete installation packages and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces for offshore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare full engineering installation packages, including procedures, rigging drawings, check‑lists, trial‑lift and load‑out documents.
• Coordinate with naval, structural and pipelay analysis teams, reviewing analysis and design reports.
• Manage the operation phase, covering material procurement, vessel mobilization and subcontractor contracts.
• Provide technical assistance to on‑shore and offshore vessel management during mobilization, testing and installation.
• Lead a team of junior engineers and draftsmen to produce installation documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or related engineering discipline.
• 5‑10 years of experience in installation engineering, including offshore and yard operations.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Installation engineering for shallow‑water activities (S‑Lay, Jacket, Deck, Cables, Structures).
• EPC offshore transportation and installation experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of offshore T&I codes such as DNV and API.
