Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the full operational management of Nord Anglia International School Al Khor in Qatar. The role provides strategic leadership across health and safety, facilities, campus planning and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for health and safety, facilities management, and campus planning across the school.
• Lead day‑to‑day management of capital projects, including capex budgets, governance structures, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee campus renovations, modifications, and large‑scale procurement projects, liaising with landlords, contractors, and design teams.
• Manage all third‑party contracts and day‑to‑day operations such as security, cleaning, maintenance, school buses, and onsite catering.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar regulatory agencies, NAE standards, and legal requirements.
• Lead budgeting, procurement, and event logistics for all non‑academic functions.
• Line‑manage the Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team, bus support assistants, and medical team.
• Collaborate with the Extended Leadership Team on space planning, room moves, and building maintenance activities.
• Advise the Principal on resource requirements and drive cost savings through vendor and supplier negotiation.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Previous experience in an operations management role or a similar position.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• High levels of personal integrity.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while remaining calm.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to prompt others to meet deadlines.
• Experience in Qatar or the broader Middle East (desirable).
