Packaging Operator

About the role

The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring that products are packaged efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This position works on a production line, handling machinery setup, material handling, and documentation of output.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, calibrate, and operate packaging machinery according to company standards.
• Inspect final products, including seals, labels, and packaging materials, to verify quality and safety compliance.
• Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Complete production logs and reports, documenting numbers produced and any issues encountered.
• Follow all safety protocols (e.g., OSHA) and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Manage inventory of packaging materials and move finished products to designated storage areas.

Required profile

• Strong manual dexterity for repetitive handling, placing, and sorting tasks.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and operate automated machinery.
• High attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling and packaging.
• Physical stamina for standing long periods and moving products.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting issues.
