Part‑time Academic Peer Reviewer – Electrical & Electronic

About the role

This is a long‑term, stable part‑time position that allows you to work remotely reviewing scholarly manuscripts in the electrical and electronic engineering fields. You will support journal editors by providing rigorous, constructive feedback on submitted papers.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of each manuscript.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Check the literature review for relevance and completeness.
• Analyse results, conclusions, and overall scientific contribution.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection based on your assessment.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in electrical, electronic, or related engineering.
• At least five peer‑review‑ready publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
• Prior experience as a journal peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review platforms.
