Pipefitter Foreman

About the role

Saipem is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Foreman to lead a piping team on projects worldwide, currently focused on Qatar. You will coordinate all on‑site pipefitting activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance while supporting the company’s energy‑transition initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and control the work of the pipefitting team according to the assigned scope.
• Distribute equipment, materials and tools, and verify their compliance with project specifications.
• Enforce safety standards and implement the permit‑to‑work system.
• Analyse drawings, issue instructions, and ensure work follows quality requirements.
• Monitor progress, report difficulties, and provide daily toolbox talks.
• Document approved modifications on drawings for As‑Built records.
• Supply the supervisor with data on quantities, manpower, equipment, and material usage.
• Liaise with other disciplines and maintain housekeeping of the work area.

Required profile

• High school or secondary education.
• 10‑15 years of experience as a Pipefitter Foreman in the oil & gas sector.
• Fluent English language skills.

Required skills

• Manual SMAW and FCAW welding processes.
• Cold and hot cutting, oxy‑acetylene and plasma cutting.
• Milling, turning, lathe operation and drilling.
• Interpretation of isometric drawings, bevel designs and fittings.
• Torquering, steel fabrication, erection, lifting and rigging.
• Installation and assembly of carbon steel flowlines, Inconel 625/825, stainless steel 314L/316L.
• Experience with on‑shore and off‑shore pipeline projects and heavy fabrication.
