Planner SPIR – Engineering Scheduling for Petrochemical Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planner SPIR to join our engineering team in Doha. The role focuses on scheduling and coordinating scaffolding, insulation, painting, refractory, and TSA activities for petrochemical, petroleum refining, and power generation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 14‑day, 90‑day and 365‑day look‑ahead plans using QSGTL SAP tools.
• Prepare detailed work packs and shutdown plans for small to medium projects.
• Load resources, schedule activities, and generate progress status reports in Primavera P6.
• Interpret isometric, PEFS, DEP, and discipline‑specific drawings to create accurate work plans.
• Identify and request materials, workforce, tools, and equipment for larger jobs.
• Produce progress reports and forecasts for stakeholders using SAP‑PM and CMMS.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in petrochemical, refining or power generation, with at least 4 years as a planner/scheduler.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of process equipment, scaffolding codes, British standards, and TSA activities.
• Fluent in English (IELTS 6 equivalent) – reading, writing and speaking.
• Valid Qatari driving licence and defensive‑driving training preferred.
