Planning Manager – Roads & Highways

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead the planning, scheduling and reporting functions for Qatar's strategic road network. This senior position oversees multi‑billion‑QAR highway and infrastructure projects, ensuring consistent delivery across a complex program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for large‑scale road and highway works.
• Coordinate planning activities across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Produce regular progress reports and forecasts for senior management.
• Implement standardized planning and reporting procedures throughout the program.
• Monitor critical path items and proactively address potential delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
• 15–20 years of experience on major construction projects, preferably highways and infrastructure.
• Minimum five years in a management role overseeing planning functions.
• Certificate in Primavera P6 and proficiency in MS Office.
• Desirable: Master’s degree, Chartered Engineer status, Project Management certification, and Primavera Contract Manager certificate.
