Process Controller / Control Room Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Process Controller / Control Room Operator to operate and monitor SWRO plant processes using DCS/SCADA systems, ensuring stable and efficient water production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SWRO plant processes through DCS/SCADA systems, including intake, pretreatment, DAF, ultrafiltration, high‑pressure pumps, RO trains and chemical dosing.
• Respond to alarms, process deviations and take corrective actions to maintain stable operation.
• Record operational data, prepare shift reports and monitor water quality parameters.
• Coordinate with field operators during start‑up, shutdown and emergencies, supervising field activities from the control room.
• Assist maintenance teams with troubleshooting, equipment isolation, instrument calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Follow HSE procedures, permit‑to‑work requirements and ensure compliance with environmental and water quality regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Process Technology or Water Treatment Technology (or equivalent technical qualification with desalination experience).
• 3–5 years of experience operating SWRO desalination plants (≥50 MLD) or similar water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Proven experience with DCS, SCADA and PLC control systems.
