Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead the sourcing and acquisition of IT products and services for Qatar Airways, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic, financial and operational goals. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver best‑value solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute negotiation strategies with suppliers on cost, commercial and contractual terms.
• Ensure compliance with data‑security regulations and internal procurement policies.
• Drive high‑value cost‑saving initiatives in partnership with business units.
• Monitor IT market trends, pricing fluctuations and emerging technologies.
• Manage RFQ processes for high‑risk projects, troubleshoot issues and coordinate all parties.
• Conduct market research to identify alternative supply sources.
• Collaborate with senior management and user departments on IT procurement projects.
• Set and track procurement KPIs for the IT category.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the IT category.
• Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is desirable.
• Experience in the airline industry is a plus.
