Project Analyst – Engineering & Project Management

About the role

The Project Analyst will provide independent, objective assessment of projects within QatarEnergy’s PEPS portfolio. The role focuses on identifying risks, analysing performance, and ensuring projects meet their approved schedule, cost and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent analysis and reviews of PEPS projects to assess progress against commitments.
• Identify challenges and risks, and deliver recommendations to overcome them.
• Provide objective opinions on project performance, deliverables and alignment with QatarEnergy’s value‑creation criteria.
• Perform project audits, market intelligence on contractors, and develop best‑practice communities across PEPS.
• Support the development of project execution strategies, HSEQ processes and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in engineering, project management and execution of multidisciplinary projects.
• At least 10 years in project management leadership roles, preferably as a Project Manager, with a proven track record in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience developing project execution strategies, HSEQ processes and conducting project reviews.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and team‑building abilities.
• B.Sc. in an engineering discipline; higher degree and professional membership are advantageous.
