Project Coordinator (Design – Consultancy)

About the role

The Project Coordinator (Design – Consultancy) will lead the coordination of architectural, structural and MEP design activities for multidisciplinary consultancy teams in Qatar. The role ensures timely delivery of design packages, compliance with local regulations, and smooth communication among clients, consultants and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP design deliverables across all project stages, resolve clashes and monitor progress.
• Act as the primary liaison between the client and design consultants, reviewing submissions for completeness and compliance.
• Manage submissions and approvals with authorities such as Ashghal, Kahramaa, Civil Defence and Qatar, ensuring adherence to Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS).
• Prepare and maintain design schedules, trackers and progress reports; conduct coordination meetings and document minutes.
• Oversee design documentation, version control and quality checks; maintain logs for RFIs, submissions and approvals.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and internal teams to facilitate communication and support value‑engineering discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, MEP or related engineering field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in design consultancy, with mandatory Qatar project experience.
• Proven experience in large‑scale commercial, mixed‑use or infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in design coordination and consultant management.
• PMP or similar certification is an advantage.
