Project Engineer – Fire Protection Systems

About the role

We are looking for experienced Project Engineers to lead fire protection system projects across Qatar. The role involves managing fire alarm, detection, fighting and suppression installations from design through hand‑over, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage execution of fire alarm, detection, fighting and suppression system projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and site teams to keep schedules and resources on track.
• Monitor project progress, conduct testing, commissioning and support hand‑over activities.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, QCDD requirements, HSE regulations and project specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years GCC experience as a Project Engineer in fire protection systems.
• Valid UPDA/MMUP certification and QCDD certification (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire safety regulations.
• Proven experience in project planning, execution, testing, commissioning and close‑out.
