Quality Assurance & Control Engineer – Qatar

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Control Engineer to support a major infrastructure and DNO&M project in Qatar. The role involves ensuring that all contractor activities meet the highest quality standards and comply with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve annual Quality Plans submitted by Framework Contractors.
• Inspect contractor activities and verify compliance with quality requirements.
• Evaluate Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and monitor their execution.
• Support internal audits and conduct second‑party/foundation contractor audits.
• Review QA/QC reports, NCRs, observations, and inspection records.
• Coordinate resolution of Technical Queries, Concession Requests, and Non‑Conformity Reports.
• Perform rainy‑season preparedness audits and inspections for new asset handovers.
• Maintain QA/QC policies, manuals, procedures, and ITPs.
• Provide expert QA/QC advice for complex, high‑risk activities and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field obtained from North America, Western Europe, or Australia.
• 10+ years of QA/QC experience, preferably in civil infrastructure, utilities, drainage, wastewater, or DNO&M projects.
• Chartered membership in a relevant professional body is an advantage.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 50001 quality management systems.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.
• Physically fit for confined‑space work and able to pass competency assessments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
