Risk Coordinator (HSE)

About the role

The Risk Coordinator (HSE) ensures that all site activities comply with health, safety and environmental standards. Working within large‑scale EPC and oil & gas projects, the role supports safe execution of work and protects personnel, the environment and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Verify workforce compliance with HSE standards, procedures, PPE and equipment usage.
• Participate in investigations, inspections and reporting of HSE matters.
• Implement client and company HSE plans and procedures related to risk coordination.
• Conduct site safety inductions and ensure personnel are competent, informed and equipped.
• Monitor correct use and maintenance of machinery, temporary utilities and housekeeping standards.
• Control handling of hazardous chemicals and substances.
• Report all accidents, incidents and near‑misses and maintain related documentation.
• Inspect worksites, equipment, vehicles and PPE, verifying permits to work and certifications.
• Deliver HSE training, risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate installation of safety barriers, signals and access controls when hazards arise.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in large‑scale EPC, oil & gas or industrial construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead HSE compliance and risk coordination activities.

Required skills

• Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Competence in conducting risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling procedures.
