Senior Construction Project Manager – Data Centers

About the role

Syntys is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead large‑scale data centre projects across the MENA region. You will act as the client‑side leader, coordinating executive teams, consultants and contractors to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic governance: set up project teams, establish controls, implement quality standards and give technical advice.
• Serve as the central communication hub between client, consultants and contractors, ensuring transparent information flow.
• Monitor risk plans, manage contingencies and control change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee design management, including procurement, bid evaluation and contract placement.
• Release timely Confirmation of Architect's Instructions (CAIs) and manage health & safety coordination on site.
• Control construction budgets, produce weekly financial updates, track variances and maintain risk/opportunity logs.
• Formalise and track detailed delivery programmes, focusing on high‑level milestones, enabling works and specialised sequences such as BMS and commissioning.
• Chair regular meetings, change‑control updates and value‑engineering workshops.
• Align cross‑functional teams including move, security, maintenance, IT, AV and end‑users.
• Verify contract completion, manage snagging/de‑snagging and ensure full documentation of O&M manuals and safety files.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering complex data‑centre construction projects.
• Strong leadership and governance experience at senior level.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of risk, change and financial control processes.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring health & safety compliance.
