Senior Contracts Manager

About the role

The Senior Contracts Manager will lead the contracting and commercial management function for a major onshore EPC project. This role is responsible for shaping contract strategies, overseeing tendering, and ensuring the effective administration of high‑value contracts throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all project contracting activities, including tendering, EPC contracts, and service agreements.
• Develop and implement contract strategies that align with project objectives and business priorities.
• Oversee preparation, evaluation, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts.
• Ensure contract terms allocate risk appropriately and protect company interests.
• Manage contractor performance, variations, claims, disputes, and commercial negotiations.
• Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project leadership and key stakeholders.
• Monitor contractual compliance, payment certifications, securities, and contract close‑out activities.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks to safeguard cost and schedule.
• Build and lead a high‑performing contracts team, driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Project Controls, and external contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry across project management, engineering, construction, procurement, or contract management.
• Proven experience managing contracts on large‑scale EPC or major capital projects.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role within a major project environment.
• Strong background in tendering, commercial management, risk management, and contract administration.
