Senior Cost Control Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Control Manager to lead cost control activities for large‑scale Oil & Gas and Power Plant projects. The role involves developing, implementing and monitoring cost control systems to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining high standards of reporting and financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all project cost control functions from initiation to close‑out.
• Prepare, monitor and analyse project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reports.
• Track project performance against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Develop cost control procedures, systems and reporting tools.
• Coordinate with project management, planning, procurement, engineering and finance teams.
• Review contractor invoices, change orders and variation claims.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, earned value analysis and management presentations.
• Support risk assessments and recommend cost mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project cost control, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience on Oil & Gas and Power Plant/EPC projects, preferably in the GCC.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting, forecasting and earned value management.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
