Senior Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics initiatives, translate complex business and policy questions into rigorous data‑driven solutions, and mentor a growing data science team. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on model development and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute end‑to‑end analytics and statistical modeling projects, from problem framing to validated, decision‑ready insight.
• Define and enforce modeling methodology, experimentation standards, and model validation practices across the team.
• Build, evaluate, and interpret predictive and statistical models using Python and SQL.
• Own the statistical soundness of deliverables, including assumptions, uncertainty quantification, and limitations.
• Establish reproducible analytical workflows, promote code quality, documentation, and version control.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior, non‑technical stakeholders through clear narratives and visualizations.
• Review and provide technical feedback on peers’ work, raising overall team standards.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level data scientists and collaborate with ML/AI engineers to hand off models for production.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied statistics with a proven track record of leading projects end‑to‑end.
• Deep knowledge of statistics, experimental design, and a broad modeling toolkit covering classical machine learning, time‑series, and deep learning.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into rigorous, decision‑ready analysis for executive audiences.
• Commitment to statistical soundness, reproducibility, and continuous learning of statistical and machine‑learning methods.
