Senior HSE Officer

About the role

The Senior HSE Officer will lead the monitoring and improvement of health, safety and environmental performance across our projects. Reporting to the HSE Lead, you will ensure compliance with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and internal QEHS standards while driving a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse safety performance data, track leading and lagging HSE metrics and produce regular reports.
• Conduct daily Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) reviews, verify supporting documentation and ensure correct issuance.
• Identify non‑conformities that do not pose immediate danger but breach project procedures, HSE regulations or internal standards, and communicate them promptly.
• Provide trend analysis of unsafe behaviours and recommend corrective actions to reduce incidents.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to embed HSE best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience as an internal auditor for a QEHS Integrated Management System.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Proven ability to analyse data, generate insights and influence safety improvements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
