Senior Lead MEP Estimator

About the role

The Senior Lead Estimator (MEP) will head the technical and commercial estimation process for large‑scale building and infrastructure projects in Doha. You will own the full tender cycle, develop competitive bid strategies and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality proposals on time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEP estimation and tendering for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems.
• Manage the entire tender process from inquiry receipt to final submission.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts and tender documents.
• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take‑offs, value‑engineering proposals and bid pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, commercial, finance, legal and operations teams.
• Evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, identifying technical, commercial and contractual risks.
• Participate in client meetings, tender clarifications, negotiations and presentations.
• Present tender strategies, opportunities, risks and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 13‑15+ years of MEP estimation and tendering experience on major projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with quantity take‑offs, estimation software, value engineering and cost planning.
• Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts and tendering procedures.
• Experience in the GCC region is preferred.
