Senior Media Editor

About the role

The Senior Media Editor leads the creation, editing, translation, and final quality assurance of all internal and external communications. Reporting to the PR & Communications Department, this role ensures that every piece of content aligns with the company’s brand voice, tone, and messaging standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, translate, edit, and proofread press releases, speeches, media statements, newsletters, website copy, campaign materials, executive messages, scripts, and internal communications.
• Maintain editorial consistency, clarity, and adherence to approved brand guidelines and sector‑specific terminology in both Arabic and English.
• Conduct final linguistic and quality checks before content approval and publication.
• Review and refine materials produced by internal teams or external agencies to meet professional standards.
• Provide bilingual editorial support for digital and social media, including captions, key messages, and campaign text.
• Assist with textual elements for multimedia assets such as videos, graphics, subtitles, and infographics.
• Maintain a version‑controlled archive of drafts, translations, final content, and reference materials.
• Develop and update editorial templates, glossaries, and writing standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to verify technical accuracy and finalize messaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, English, Translation, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in content writing, editing, translation, or corporate communications.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality bilingual content in Arabic and English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce editorial standards across diverse formats.

Required skills

• Excellent command of Arabic and English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Proficiency in editorial style guides and brand‑voice consistency.
• Experience with version‑control and content management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
