Senior NDT Technician

About the role

The Senior NDT Technician performs nondestructive testing on welds and materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry codes. Working with limited supervision, the role supports the quality team and mentors less‑experienced colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct NDT examinations using methods such as UT, PT, MT, RT, PAUT, or ET according to the Project NDT Plan and applicable codes.
• Determine acceptance or rejection of inspected items based on defined criteria and report findings.
• Coordinate with Quality Inspectors to verify completion of tasks and ensure non‑conforming work is rectified.
• Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment, keeping certification records up to date.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports using company software.
• Promote a safe work environment by following safety standards and using required PPE.
• Mentor and train junior staff in safe work practices and technical procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or higher education.
• Minimum 5 years experience as an NDT inspector.
• ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II qualification (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
