Senior Planning Engineer – Major Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to lead the scheduling and control of large‑scale construction projects in Qatar. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants and clients to ensure that programmes are realistic, monitored and adjusted to meet delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress, prepare look‑ahead and recovery plans, and forecast project outcomes.
• Analyse performance data to identify risks, delays and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to align schedules with contractual and client requirements.
• Produce regular planning reports, dashboards and presentations for senior management.
• Support budget monitoring, resource allocation and productivity tracking.
• Ensure planning processes comply with ISO standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years as a Planning Lead or Senior Planning Engineer.
• At least 8 years of planning experience on projects in the GCC.
• Proven experience on capital projects valued at QAR 100 million +.
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
