Senior Process Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a major oil & gas operator in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The role will provide technical expertise across design reviews, safety studies, commissioning and start‑up activities, ensuring safe and reliable production of the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design reviews, HAZID, SIL and HAZOP studies and support Management of Change processes.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and process surveillance tools in line with the surveillance plan.
• Participate in system completions, walk‑downs, chemical/catalyst loading and high‑risk commissioning activities.
• Provide troubleshooting, engineering recommendations and support for punch‑list and warranty claim resolution.
• Maintain an Issue Register, identify critical issues and mitigate technology risks affecting reliability, availability and cyber security.
• Prepare discipline hand‑over packages and support smooth project tie‑in for all assigned systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in an oil & gas environment.
• Proven ability to work on large‑scale, high‑complexity projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
