Senior QA/QC Engineer

About the role

The Senior QA/QC Engineer will lead the implementation of the Quality Management System for all offshore activities, ensuring projects comply with QatarEnergy standards, Shell DEPs and international codes. The role monitors quality performance throughout the project lifecycle to guarantee safe and reliable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enforce Project Quality Plans (PQPs) for offshore projects.
• Audit and verify compliance with QatarEnergy, Shell and international quality standards.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Oversee manufacturing inspection, material certification and offshore construction quality checks.
• Lead and mentor project and contractor QA/QC teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred); Master’s degree is a plus.
• Certified Lead ISO 9001 Auditor; additional quality certifications are advantageous.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred.
