Senior Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) – Doha

About the role

Our client, a long‑standing British‑owned cost consultancy operating in Qatar, is expanding its team in Doha. They are seeking a chartered MRICS Quantity Surveyor with strong post‑contract experience to work on mixed‑use, commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage post‑contract cost control and variation processes on large‑scale developments.
• Administer contracts using JCT and NEC procedures, ensuring compliance with internal PQS standards.
• Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts and final accounts for mixed‑use, commercial and residential schemes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve contractual issues and support project delivery.
• Contribute to the development of cost‑planning strategies and value‑engineering proposals.

Required profile

• Chartered MRICS status (Quantity Surveying route).
• 3‑5 years post‑degree experience within a consultancy environment, preferably with a recognised UK cost consultancy.
• Demonstrated commitment to an employer (minimum 2‑3 years with the same firm).
• Full‑time degree (3‑year) in Quantity Surveying – other qualifications are not acceptable.
• Not currently employed in the Middle East and willing to relocate to Doha.

Required skills

• Proficiency in JCT contract administration.
• Proficiency in NEC contract administration.
• Strong post‑contract cost management experience.
• Cost consultancy and quantity surveying expertise.
