Senior Vice President – Strategy Development

About the role

The Senior Vice President – Strategy Development will join the senior leadership team of a leading international banking institution. Reporting to executive management, the role drives the organization’s strategic agenda across businesses, functions and markets, turning high‑level priorities into actionable growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and implementation of enterprise, regional, country, business and functional strategies, from market assessment to recommendation and execution.
• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to executive management, providing insights on growth opportunities, competitive positioning and performance.
• Own a portfolio of complex, high‑priority strategic assignments, ensuring rigorous analysis and impactful outcomes.
• Drive strategic planning and performance management, including financial plans, KPIs, market sizing, business cases and performance reviews.
• Build, coach and develop a high‑performing strategy team, fostering analytical excellence and commercial thinking.
• Establish strong relationships across business and functional leaders to ensure alignment, governance and successful execution of strategic priorities.
• Continuously improve strategy methodologies, frameworks and governance while adhering to risk, regulatory and compliance standards.

Required profile

• 15+ years of professional experience, including at least 7 years in strategy development, corporate strategy or management consulting.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise‑level strategy assignments and career progression into senior leadership.
• Experience with top‑tier strategy consulting firms or senior in‑house strategy roles within international financial services institutions.
