Ship Assurance Officer

About the role

The Ship Assurance Officer provides specialised maritime expertise for the LNG Shipping Assurance team within QatarEnergy's LNG Shipping Department. The role ensures safe, reliable and efficient transportation of LNG to meet contractual obligations for QatarEnergy LNG Marketing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide maritime expertise to support LNG shipping operations.
• Ensure safe, reliable and efficient transportation of LNG.
• Meet contractual obligations to QatarEnergy LNG Marketing customers.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the marine industry, including vetting, operations, terminals, incident investigations, and other marine functions.
• Class 1 Marine Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Studies or a related field.
