Software Engineering Manager – Infrastructure (Bangkok, relocation)

About the role

Agoda is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its Compute Platform team in Bangkok. You will guide a cross‑functional group of software and systems engineers, focusing on inventory, platform tooling, and lifecycle management across bare‑metal, virtual machines, and Kubernetes environments.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute hands‑on to system design, code reviews and provide technical mentorship.
• Build, lead and develop a small team of engineers, contractors and interns using agile delivery practices.
• Research, design and deliver tooling that improves visibility, efficiency, reliability and lifecycle management of the compute platform.
• Own design reviews, shape platform standards and set technical direction across the organization.
• Define the roadmap and be accountable for delivery, reliability and operational outcomes.
• Promote a culture of operational excellence, engineering quality and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience leading software or systems engineering teams.
• Strong hands‑on technical background with experience in large‑scale infrastructure.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers at all levels, including interns and junior contractors.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
