Sr. Construction Supervisor (Decommissioning)

About the role

The Senior Construction Supervisor (Decommissioning) is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day deconstruction, demolition and project execution at offshore locations. The role ensures all activities comply with approved scopes, drawings, engineering designs, and QatarEnergy safety, environmental and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily functions of offshore deconstruction, demolition and decommissioning projects.
• Ensure work is performed according to approved method statements, schedules, quality and HSE requirements.
• Provide guidance to construction supervisors and contractors to maintain compliance with QatarEnergy standards.
• Review and approve lifting plans, sea‑fastening inspections and load‑out activities.
• Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience supervising offshore deconstruction, demolition and decommissioning.
• Strong background with oil & gas production/wellhead platform topsides, jacket structures and subsea infrastructure (pipelines, umbilicals, flat‑pack, composite cables).
• Experience in sea‑fastening inspection, lifting plan review and method‑statement approval.
• Computer literate with excellent written and spoken English.
• Solid knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental practices.
• Ability to lead a multi‑national, multi‑cultural contractor workforce.
• B.Sc. in Engineering, Engineering Diploma or ONC in Mechanical Engineering plus relevant safety, QC and construction courses.
