Sr. Project Control Engineer – Major Projects

About the role

The Senior Project Control Engineer will lead project control activities for major EPCC projects, working closely with the Project Control Manager and all discipline leads. This role ensures schedules, cost data, and risk registers are accurate, up‑to‑date, and aligned with contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Perform critical‑path analysis, float management and schedule optimisation to meet milestone dates.
• Track physical progress, earned value, cost performance and schedule performance, reporting deviations to the Steering Committee.
• Prepare resource histograms, manpower plans and productivity tracking for the EPCC contractor.
• Support budget planning, cash‑flow forecasts and cost‑control strategies, including Earned Value Management metrics such as CPI and TCPI.
• Validate contractor invoices, manage change logs and document claims, variations and extensions of time.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessments, including Monte Carlo simulations, and maintain the Project Risk Register.
• Provide input for contract strategy, tender evaluation and contractor selection.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project control for large‑scale EPCC projects.
• Strong understanding of schedule development, critical‑path analysis and float management.
• Hands‑on experience with Earned Value Management, cost performance indices and risk quantification.
• Ability to prepare high‑level presentations for senior management and steering committees.
