Survey QA/QC & Reporting Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Survey QA/QC & Reporting Specialist to establish and lead a controlled survey reporting function. The role ensures that all survey, geophysical, hydrographic, ROV support and pipeline & structure inspection deliverables are technically verified, traceable, compliant with client specifications, and ready for final submission.

Key responsibilities

• Validate completeness, traceability and consistency of raw and processed survey data, logs, metadata, calibration records, navigation files and field reports.
• Review geophysical interpretation of SSS, MBES, SBP, magnetometer and inspection datasets to confirm correct classification of free spans, scours, debris, crossings, exposures and anomalies.
• Cross‑check geophysical findings against ROV inspection records, video logs and as‑built data to identify mismatches before report delivery.
• Support tender and project phases by reviewing assumptions, methodology, reporting requirements and client specifications to embed QA/QC from the start.
• Develop and apply formal report acceptance checklists covering drawings, charts, mosaics, event lists, anomaly registers and supporting appendices.
• Monitor subcontractor outputs, ensuring competence, software usage, deliverable quality and revision control.
• Manage technical NCRs, observations and client queries, driving resolution and closure.
• Maintain a lessons‑learned register and update templates, checklists or verification steps to prevent recurring errors.
• Track quality KPIs such as report rejection rate, client comments, NCRs, rework hours and late deliveries.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Surveying, Engineering, Geomatics or a related field.
• 6‑8 years of experience in survey reporting and QA/QC, preferably in offshore projects in the Middle East.
• Proven ability to ensure data integrity and to mitigate operational risk related to seabed, pipeline and obstruction information.
