TCG Store Manager

About the role

The TCG Store Manager leads the commercial, operational and community performance of AOC’s trading‑card‑game retail outlet. You will drive sales, manage high‑value inventory and ensure an exceptional experience for players, collectors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve daily, monthly and annual sales and profitability targets.
• Monitor sales metrics, conversion rates, average transaction value and margins.
• Increase sales through product recommendations, bundles, memberships, pre‑orders and promotions.
• Manage the TCG product range (Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, sports cards), ensuring correct pricing, display and inventory levels.
• Handle sealed products, graded cards and high‑value collectibles with proper storage and authenticity verification.
• Oversee store opening/closing, cash handling, staffing schedules and compliance with health‑and‑safety and mall policies.
• Lead, coach and schedule sales associates, conduct daily briefings and performance reviews.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training on product knowledge.
• Collaborate with the Community and Organized Play team to deliver tournaments, leagues, trade nights and product launches.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in gaming or collectibles.
• Strong knowledge of trading‑card‑games, product releases, grading and market trends.
• Ability to analyze sales data and identify commercial opportunities.
• Leadership skills to motivate a team and manage performance.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and community‑building mindset.
• Familiarity with store operations, cash handling and compliance procedures.
