Teaching Assistant – Primary Support

About the role

Compass International School Doha is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support individual learners and assist teachers in delivering high‑quality British curriculum education. The role focuses on maximizing learning time, fostering student progress, and maintaining a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help children achieve high learning standards.
• Assist teachers in presenting curriculum content clearly and stimulatingly.
• Help children read texts, complete worksheets, and organise their work.
• Monitor and assess each child’s attainment and progress.
• Set appropriate, challenging targets and maintain clear behaviour expectations.
• Contribute to a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
• Utilise computers and other resources to aid learning where appropriate.

Required profile

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Experience in learning support or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Preferably under husband/family sponsorship (as stated in posting).
