Teaching Associate / Lecturer in Mathematics

About the role

The Science & Math unit at Community College of Qatar is seeking a dedicated Teaching Associate or Lecturer to deliver college‑level mathematics and statistics courses. The role involves classroom instruction, student advising, and participation in curriculum development across multiple campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Teach foundation and advanced mathematics and statistics courses, including day and evening sections.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental standards.
• Maintain accurate student records, submit required reports, and hold regular office hours.
• Advise and mentor students, contributing to their academic progress.
• Participate in course and program development, departmental committees, and community service activities.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of undergraduate teaching or mentoring experience.
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex mathematical concepts clearly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English.
• Experience in the GCC region is advantageous.

Required skills

• Expertise in one or more areas of mathematics or statistics (e.g., algebra, analysis, geometry, probability theory, statistical methodology).
• Proficiency with instructional technologies as needed for course delivery.
